EMILY KING

About me:
Graduated from Nottingham Trent with a first-class honours BA (Hons) in Theatre Design. I am an enthusiastic, imaginative and creative designer. I enjoy designing thought-provoking sets that work in harmony with the writer and director to bring a story to life, maximising the experience for an audience.

Through taking my third year out to undertake six different placements in the UK and Australia, I gained skills in design, construction, metalwork, woodwork, model making, scenic and prop painting which have helped me understand the different avenues of the industry and the roles needed to make a production happen. 

I am keen to enter the Theatre Design industry. I look forward to working alongside designers and production teams in a theatre setting, to further improve my skills and to become a recognised production designer.
